I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
